I wear lip gloss at the range. I also take this very seriously. Turns out those aren't contradictions.

For a long time, firearms made me nervous. Then one day I decided to actually learn.

I started training with a private instructor and something unexpected happened. I fell in love with shooting. Then I went looking for resources written by women, for women — and found almost nothing.

So I built it myself.

I'm Megan. I'm feminine, I take this seriously, and I wear lip gloss at the range. My current firearm is a Nighthawk Custom Double Agent and I worked hard to earn it.

What I couldn't find when I started was someone who'd already gone through it and was willing to be honest about it. The mistakes, the gear decisions, the things that are actually worth spending money on versus the things that aren't. A real perspective from someone one step ahead — not an expert performing expertise at you.

That's what La Femme Defense is. I'll save you some time. I'll save you some money. And I'll tell you the truth about what it's actually like to learn this as a woman.

Thoughtfully Prepared.
